Is there a way to check InfraWorks file version?

I have some models created in previous versions of InfraWorks. When opening an older model in the latest version of InfraWorks it will notify me with an exclamation mark thats it an older model and ask me to upgrade when opening it. What it doesn't tell me is which version of InfraWorks it was created in....

This there a way to check this without having to start InfraWorks to check?

Morgan.

Hi Morgan,

Offhand I don't know of a perfect way to do this, but you can locate your models folder (normally) on C://Users/user_name/Documents/Autodesk InfraWorks Models/, then check the creation/modification dates of each .SQLite file by selecting them individually, right-clicking, and choosing Properties. A model with a creation date that precedes the current InfraWorks 360 release date is an older model that will need to be upgraded, if you have not done so already. You can try to match the creation date up with your personal records of which versions you were using at the time of model creation.

You can also expand the Home icon once you have InfraWorks 360 open, then Manage Online Models and review your update history.

If your model was created by Model Builder, you can also check your email inbox for the emails we send you when Model Builder completes a model creation request.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Elliott

p.s. if you're still looking for some added functionality, please take a moment and submit your idea to the IdeaStation.

This process has now been documented on the Autodesk Knowledge Network.
