inquiry on identifying and turning off grey area of project

Is there a way to turn off the light grey area in my below model picture, that is outside the the rest of the project? I have only minimal experience in Infraworks and it was several months ago when I made this project. I'd like to be able to export a file that excludes this area.

When you export to IMX, you will have a choice of using the entire model or selected area which you can use to select the desired area to export.

I was able to get the area that I wanted with the "Load Extent from File" option when exporting an IMX file. Is there a way to hide this grey area in Infraworks without setting it outside my area of interest? In some proposals, I'd like to be able to see more than the project design, but not in all proposals.
