INFRAWORKS DOES NOT RUN

Hi,

I tried to install Infraworks 2021 under student license but it does not start. When I click the shortcut the process ends without message nor error.

 

So then I tried with the 2020 version bit the result is the same...

 

I tried this two solutions without any succes:

Hi @Anonymous 

 

Considering that only one (year) version of Infraworks can be installed per computer. I would uninstall any version of Infraworks currently installed, and then do a fresh re-install of Infraworks 2021. (it is not possible to have 2020 and 2021 version side by side installed!) be sure to do a clean Uninstall!

Hi @samir_rezk, thanks for answer.

 

I don't have the both versions installed simultaneously but I will try the clean unistall. 

I'll let you know the outcome

I would clean uninstall and reinstall Infraworks only first before
venturing any further especially if your other installed Autodesk software
works at the moment!

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

I understand that InfraWorks installs without any errors, but once you want to  start it, it doesn't work and shuts down.
If that is correct, there usual issue is that the graphics adapter you use is not supported. What adapter do you have installed and is the driver up to date?

You are right I can install it without problems but when I try to run it doesn't do anything. The process (saw it in task manager)  start but after few seconds the process says "Suspended" and closes it without any message

 

I have two monitors the first one have the integrate intel graphic card and in the other i have a geForce GT 710

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

can you test with a single monitor connection and the Nvidia card only? Just to see if InfraWorks starts at all.
Make sure you don't use a VGA connection or cable for the monitor and deactivate the Intel graphics adapter, just to make sure InfraWorks doesn't consume that.

 

If that works, add the second monitor. Isn't it possible to connect both monitors to the Nvida Card and don't use the Intel graphics at all?

Hi @samir_rezk ,

 

I tried to clean uninstall the infraworks and reinstalling it but it does not work the problem persists so i think the problem is not during the installation/uninstallation process

I tried with only one monitor plugged with the Nvidia and the program starts but then crash. I mean after a few seconds of the loading window it closes.

 

When I try with the two monitors not even that screen load and the task says "suspended" so may be is indeed a graphic problem althought this GPU is slightly better.

 

I have directX 12 and 2gb vram (minimun directX 10.1 and 1gb vram)

 

So I'm not what to do anymore

Ok, so the problem is not during the installation/unistall

 

Apparently the problem is in the program itself. Looking at the event log I can see that it can't be found a couple of modules so the program closes.

 

Here is the log:

I give up ...

 

Now not even the installer is working... today I tried to donwload it 3 times and in all cases this message pop up:

The translation is something like: "The product download is made up of several elements. At least one file cannot be found or has not been downloaded yet"

 

So I wont use it and for sure i wont buy it.

Hello, my colleague is trying to open an Squilte model I shared with here and she is getting this message. 

We both have the most recent version of Infraworks and the model works on my desktop. 

any ideas or known bugs that could explain this ?

Hi @Maher-Paul.Hamad ,

 

the message points to a version conflict.

Could you send the latest InfraWorks log file from your computer and your colleague's computer?

The log files are created in the folder: %appdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk InfraWorks\logs
