Hi everybody, i just installed infraworks for students (the same as the original version) and all the previows steps worked without problems, subscription included, but when i tryed to download a model from the start window appeared this message:

Impossible to create the model in the network's unit:

//psf/Home/Documents/Autodesk InfraWorks Models//Casale Rosso.sqlite

However, you can map a network drive to a local drive letter and use it for storing models.

What's the problem?? i tryed to download a mine new model as the base model too.

please help me, thanks

No, i don't provide any network connection. If is useful to solve the issue you have to know that i use parallels for osx, so i run infraworks in a virtual machine Sent from Outlook

hmm ok thanks for this info, I will check into this...

btw I noticed that your location to store the model has an extra "/" before the model name.. if you entered that manually that's your problem:

//psf/Home/Documents/Autodesk InfraWorks Models//Casale Rosso.sqlite

Thanks,

Elliott

The fact is that is infraworks itself that put the double //, i follow the regular procedure with model builder, but in the home window all the file are of small weight (hundreds of kB)...the image shows how the issue appear.

p.s.: i tryed also with the preuploaded modelSchermata 2015-11-02 alle 8.25.33 PM.png

hmm.. I haven't encountered that before, I will ask the team about that. This is a total shot in the dark, but maybe you could try to create a folder on your desktop called "2016.3", and within that folder create two more folders, "Data" and "Models". Save the model to the models folder, and any data sources you plan on importing to the Data folder...

I doubt that will work, but perhaps it's worth a try...wondering if your VM desktop is not being supported by IW360 for some reason.
