ICAO/MADS Aerodrome Standards

Anonymous
Not applicable

I need to try and create ICAO/MADS Aerodrome standard rules and content and I have found this video on AU to help me today http://au.autodesk.com/au-online/classes-on-demand/class-catalog/2015/infraworks/ci10681#chapter=0

Is there a way of creating customising sight analysis rules as well? The options on the pallette seem to be a little bit limited and the help online doesn't seem to be extensive at first glance.

Any pointers would be most helpful if somebody would be so kind?

The sight distance standards are defined in the clp text files.  These can be found in:C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\InfraWorks 360\Resources\Standards\Roads\DesignStandards

You would need to copy an entire set of the existing files and rename them to start your work.  From there you can edit the formulas and values as needed.  The only restriction currently is that if there is some parameter that is not currently available you will not be able to add it.  The UI in product is fixed as far as what it shows, so any changes would be limited to the rules files themselves.

Let me know how you make out!

 Thanks for your reply Nzeeben!

Are there any plans to develop Infraworks to recognise runways, taxiways, aprons etc. and turn them automatically into intelligible objects just as with design roads to assist with air port planning and design?

Also, is it just me or is it impossible to amend the spacing in road markings/runway markings?

We would like to support many additional types of transportation workflows beyond just road, those you listed would be candidates along with Rail.  It will be some time before we are able to address these request though.

Hi again nzeeben, sorry to be a pest.... Is there any way to define additional parameters and add dialogue boxes via C#? I know that Infraworks has an API and I have just started learning coding...?
