Hi

It is possible to use a polygon file to create trees or forest in InfraWorks.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/infraworks-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...

But If the shape file includes mutilple polygons,  I would like to assign different forest (different tree species) within different polygons.  How can I deal with that?

Hi @huttonchen

during import you can assign one style for all shape files.

Later in the program, if you want certain areas displaying other tree styles, you need to select these areas manually and assign other styles

It might be easier if you separate the shape files into groups with same trees and import these separately.

Regards,

Karsten.

Thanks Karsten.

I have followed your suggestions.

Is there any change to assign the random numbers ( from 20m to 30m) for the  height of trees in certain areas?
