How do you put a high resolution aerial photo on a model created from point cloud

Hi Guys,

I am new to InfraWorks and need some help. Ive been searching all over the internet and struggled to find information on how to do this.

Model builder is great, it takes which i assume is a Lidar Scan and puts an aerial photo in the exact location. However, the scan data is always accurate to a higher level and the aerial photo is low quality.

I have my own accurate Lidar Scan i have loaded as a point cloud which i have converted into terrain.

I've also got my own higher resolution up to date aerial photography.

How do i put these two together to create a model like the Model Builder tool does?

Thank you,

Dan.

Have you changed the aerial imagery from Model Builder to a higher level resolution?

As for using your own data, create a new, blank model that is on coordinates then import your data. You can also add it to the model created with model builder. Once your data is imported, adjust the surface layers to make sure your data is on top.

Hi @djn9SY84 ,

once you have a terrain loaded into InfraWorks, any loaded aerial image loaded as terrain overlay will drape on that terrain.

Regards,

Karsten.
