Hei,

we have created train in SketchUp pasted pictures on faces and exported it .max file to import it to 3ds max (ver. 2021) to make animation, in 3ds max everything looks ok, but when we put animation in InfraWorks everything we get in ghost trains (see picture), we would like that the models look like in 3ds max (see picture).

@tomaz.pikovnikLEMYJ

I believe you can get around this by using the 3ds MAX scene converter to change the materials to 'Standard Materials' before export.

This may fix your issue.

I have attached the file you need. Download and save it. Extract the zip file. Once extracted, drag and drop it into your 3ds Max model, then re-export it.

Hi @tomaz.pikovnikLEMYJ ,

also, make sure you have switched on "show backfaces" in the application options:

Click on your model, right-click and select Properties. In Properties, change Model Split to True.

Open dae. file in notepad and change transparency

If the transparency in your 3ds Max materials is set to 1, you can manually edit the .DAE file by replacing
<float sid="transparency">0.000000</float> with  <float sid="transparency">1.000000</float>.
