Thanks in advance for helping me, anything pointing me in the right direction will be much appreciated! Trying to get all my data into the Autodesk-systems in a good way.
I did the following:
- I imported an FBX (terrain with texture) in InfraWorks.
- Exported it to FBX
I then opened the new fbx file in Autodesk Navisworks Manage (tried 2018,2019,2020)
Looks ok.
I then tried to open the same FBX file in other software. For instance Autodesk FBX Review (v1.4.1.0) and the texture does not fit.
The reason I first need to import the FBX into Infraworks is that If I open the original FBX-file directly in Infraworks it looks like this:
It seems that Autodesk FBX Review and Infraworks handles fbx in a certain way, while Auodesk Navisworks Manage 2020 handles fbx-files in another way.
Since the GEOMETRY/SURFACE looks ok, I assume it has something to do with the texture-definitions. Unfortunately the FBX-files are binary so they can not be compared "visually" and the "Autodesk FBX Converter 2013.3" just gives me a warning when I try to open the "FBX Explorer" making it unusable. "Ony three FBX Explorer Maximum". Are there any other tools to dig out details regarding an FBX-file, header, metadata etc?
