Error 47 Missing inventor Server

Hi guys! I hope someone can help. I was trying to open a model in Infraworks 2025, and I started to get this message:

I already found some information on the web and followed the instructions aiming to solve this, but nothing has worked. I already uninstalled all my AEC collection and installed again, but I got the same issue.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Best regards!

Hello @ecfernandez ,

I experienced this message as well in the past.

The only way I could solve it, was to uninstall InfraWorks. The use Microsoft FixIt to uninstall the Interoperability Engine. FixIt worked for Win11 for me as well, although it states it's not supported.

Then re-install InfraWorks.

I attached an offline version of FixIt.

Regards,
Karsten.

Hi @Karsten.Saenger, thanks for your reply. I'll give FixIt a try tonight and let you know about the outcome.

Hi @Karsten.Saenger, thanks for suggesting the tool you mentioned as FixIt. I did not know it was the same as the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta which I had already used when trying to solve this problem. Unfortunately it did not work.

I submitted a support ticket and I hope I get the help I need. If so, I'll be posting the solution here. Regards!

Hi,

I have the same problem. I contacted the support at my Infraworks reseller (03.05.25), but it was not possible to solve it. They have opened support ticket with Autodesk.

Regards

Hello All,
this issue is reported by several users worldwide now.
Our development team is working of finding the root cause and I will update you once I get any news.

At this moment, it is assumed that the issue is caused by the latest InfraWorks updates and a version conflict between InfraWorks, the Inventor Server or ODIS installer. The updates have been removed from the server for now.

I can share feedback from users who were able to fix the issue. There is no guarantee that it always helps, it seems that different solutions work for different users:

  • Uninstall the latest update (roll back to version before the update)
  • Run the uninstall exe from : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Interoperability Engine Manager and then reinstall the updated version of the Interoperability Engine Manager 1.2.5

Regards,
Karsten

Hello All,

good news, it looks as we have a solution to manually fix the issue.
I added the solution to this knowledge base article: "Missing Inventor Server The Autodesk Interoperability Engine Manager is missing or damaged..." when...
(Look at the last solution with the installation of the Interoperability Manager 1.3. It might need some time - usually max. 1-2 hours - until my changes to the article are synchronized on the server.)

Regards,
Karsten

Hi @Karsten.Saenger, Thanks for being attentive to this discussion. I solved my problem yesterday by uninstalling the software and then doing a clean installation of a previous version. Fortunately, I had downloaded the installer for Infraworks 2025.0 the first time I installed it. However, I must admit I never thought the update was causing the problem. I just wanted to try that and it worked. I missed my deadline, but at least this is now working haha

Have a good day!

Resolved the problem with the Feb 11 repost of the Ifraworks 2025.0.3 Hotfix. Now this is a full installation of the program.

Causes:

Interoperability issues due to outdated or corrupt Autodesk ODIS (On-Demand Installation Service) on the Job Processor system.

Solution:

Update ODIS to the latest available version here: How to download the latest version of Autodesk ODIS

Once ODIS is updated, restart the Job Processor and re-submit the failed job.
