creating a 5 arms roundabout in infraworks.

Hi, could you please tell me how I can create a five arms roundabout in Infraworks 2018 ?

the Roundabout dissappears when I add the 5th lane.

Is there enough space available for the size of the roundabout?

Can you test and chose a smaller roundabout?

Hi, thanks for the response.

The roundabout is already existent, and the inscribed circle diameter

is 70 m,  the connecting road that forms the 5 arms are two lanes roads with a width of 7 m.  The Roundabout disappear the moment that I had the 5th road  ( north facing south). I have tried to increase the diameter of the inscribed circle but I could not go above 80 m.

your last post is missing the attachment. But do you connect the 5th road to the center of the roundabout or is it more a tangent connection?

If you don't connect to the center, the roundabout will most likely convert to a  intersection.

Hey I am connecting it at the center of the roundabout, sorry for the last
post attachements it probably failed to attached.

it looks as if the end points of the road alignments do not all intersect at the same point and there were more intersections built.

Please try to drag all end points to the same spot (they should snap).

If that does not help, can you share your model?

I have tried to position the 5 alignment  at different places but the intersection does not  snap, it create an intersection only after I remove the 5th lane.

thanks for the model.

I can recreate the issue with your road data, but I think there is something wrong with the model or roads in the file.

I have created a new Model Builder model and it was possible to create a 5 arm-roundabout at that place without problems.

I will have another look at you model file and come back to you soon.

I have retested your model today again and I am not able to re-create the issue anymore.

In a first test I have created a flat dummy surface and in a second test I used the model as delivered.

Is it possible for you to upgrade to the latest InfraWorks version 2019.1 - this is the version I used for the tests?
