Bringing in existing surface and exporting to Autocad Civil 3d

I am trying to bring in a surface to Infraworks, (shaper file) and export it to Autocad to create a surface. Is this possible? My computer is not responding when I try to export imx from Infraworks.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi do you have the Civil 3D 2016 version?

If yes, you have another way to import date to Civil 3D.

In the Ribbon click in Insert and after that in InfraWorks 360 and then in Open InfraWorks 360 Model, follow the instructions to import the Infraworks 360 data to your drawing.

If you are using 2015. Export the surface to an IMX file from InfraWorks,  then use the imximport command in AutoCAD to import your surface.
