Bridge pier column disappear

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, everyone! I find that the bridge pier columns 'disappear' frequently in IW. In fact the columns still remain, but they're invisible and cannot be selected and edited. How can I resolve this problem? Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks a lot!

Hi there,

My first guess would be that the transparency may be applied to certain bridge components. You can right-click and modify component display for a selected bridge, or press T on your keyboard to show/hide components. More info on that here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/ENU/?guid=GUID-860A335B-BA94-482C-986A-F971728DB2AD

Additonally, how are you creating those piers with the cap in the middle of the pier? Are you using multiple bridges (and some with hidden deck/roadway) to create that affect? Or are you just applying offsets.

Thanks,

Elliott

Thanks for your reply. I think it's not working with display settings. It seems to be a bug. I tried your advice but it won't work.

Additionally,  the piers were created using the default pier model in IW with the parameters modified.  There are no special settings.

HI. I think I had the same problem. I added two bridges and one of them didn't show up one of the two piers. After sometime I discovered that I just needed to change the number of the piers. Inicially, I had two piers in each bridge, on that problematic bridge I only changed for 3 piers and just after I changed again to 2 piers and both piers and columns showed up fortunately.
