AutoCAD 3D Solid Model Import - Misaligned Model Faces

I am having issues when importing AutoCAD 3D solid models into InfraWorks.  It works in general however the resulting models have discontinuities, shifted faces, mis-aligned solids, etc.  Compare the two images attached.  Is there anything I should try to prevent this from happening?

I assume you imported the DWG file? Save the AutoCAD file to a DXF file.

Per your recommendation I just tried that as well and got the same results.

Is the solid object in AutoCAD located/placed in real world coordinates?

Yes - and I believe that was the issue.  I moved the model to 0,0,0 and reimported it, then calculated how to move it back to real coordinates and it worked out well.

Thanks;

In certain software, the further objects that are away from 0,0,0 will get distorted.
