RFA exporter from the BIM Definition Tab

Hi All,

Anyone else having issues with exporting medium/large assemblies to RFAs using the BIM Definition tab RFA exporter?

I think its a me issue because some of the smaller assemblies work.

Do all of the sub assemblies and parts need to have BIM properties assigned for the export to work?

Hi @matthewlenehan542,

Can you please provide a bit more information. What are the specific issues you are having? Is the export just not working? Does it take a long time? Are receiving any errors?

Have you checked there are no errors with the assembly. Ensure that there are no suppressed or unresolved components within the assembly. Any such issues can cause problems during export.

I will pass over your questions to the development team and see if they can provide some further guidance on this.

Hi Gareth,

Ah that would do it, I have a few supressed components in some sub assemblies so that might be the issue.

I got around it by making a simplified file and then exporting to RFA and that worked perfectly.
