What is the best way to machine radius mouldng (material: wood)(ShopBot CNC)

Hi all,

The CNC I am using is the Shop Bot.

I am looking for an efficient way to machine radius moulding/crown/trim from soilid wood.

I would like to rough out the material using a 1/2" end mill, and follow up with a 1/4" ball mill to finish.

Ideally, I would rough out all material leaving 1/8" stock for the ball mill to finish.

I have used Alphacam and VCarve Pro to machine radius mouldings but I cant seem to find an efficient way of doing this in Inventor. I would love to be able to do this like how the sweep function is used in 3D modeling.

I will attach the model ( sorry in advance for all the surfaces )

The solid body below the moulding is a representation of the blank I will be machining.

I have also included a few failed attempts in my operations.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated
