What build of HSM are you using? Does this happen in a 'fresh' new library?

Yes even in a brand new library.
Inventor HSM build 4.3.050

Unfortunately this appears to be a problem with seeing this with HSM 2017.2 update (version 4.3.0.050).

Autodesk - any news on when a hotfix will address this?

I'd suppose that affected customers can remove HSM, go back to HSM product download and install it fresh.  Just don't update HSM yet.
