Fusion, 2d pocket Entry Position

Is there any way to make a 2d pocket start where I want it.  I want to start as close to the centre of the pocket as possible but it wants to start at the end point below. The point where it wants to start is the worst place it could be! If I set a pre drill position it will start where I want but then I can't have a helical plunge.  Simple test file attached.

How is this not fixed yet? I'm having problems with it ignoring predrill completely despite a point being correctly selected inside the part.

At this point it ain’t going to happen, been 4 years and squat.

Was hoping to have a solution for this 5 years later. Currently want to throw my computer out the window programming the most simple part because of this.

Hi @blurango ,

I agree that it is a shame it still can't do this.
A workaround could be to do a Drill operation on that specific point and choose a Bore Cycle.
Then you can use the Predrill position within the 2D Pocket to plunge into that created hole and start the pocket milling.

Isn't going to change so you'll either live with it or buy other CAM, HSMWorks is frozen at this point no new stuff only Fusion gets new stuff.

2D Adaptive starts in the center.

you can create a circle surface the bore the inside then use 2D Pocket with drill location as a work around, see pics.
