Part Probing Cycle Implemented into Hurco post processor

Part Probing Cycle Implemented into Hurco post processor

Hi,

We have noticed that the Hurco post does not support the part probing cycle from the HSM software.

It would be a really strong benefit to have this implemented for the Hurco post.

Thanks

Would be excellent for HSM and F360

Any update on this?

It would be very helpful to be able to post process probing cycles from HSM to hurco machines, but from what I saw the post processor does not have this implemented.

I believe the problem lies on the HURCO NC side. If you look in the manual there is no gcode for a variety of probe options.

I wanted this too and was reading, only found simple options, unlike all the options on the conversational side of the control.

I guess the only option, haven't tied it, is to do the NC merge to a conversational program, haven't tried that either.

Has any of you contacted your HURCO dealer? I haven't.

That's essentially the workaround.  Use a conversational program to run a part probe, then call NC program(s) as sub-programs.  The caveat is that the machine must be set up to use absolute tool length to be able to store probed values as offsets that can be passed to the sub-program(s).

Hi All,

we have created an Hurco post supporting : the part probing, the wcs probing and the surface inspection.

This post has not been tested, so use it with care, and don't hesitate to provide feedback.

It will allow us to improve it or fix it.
