Invert Axis (X) as an option in post

Invert Axis (X) as an option in post

So this relates to a comment/problem regarding the older Turning centres, specifically Fanuc circa 80's and early 90's (0T through to 10 and 11T and even some of the 15T's). They have to have an inverted X-axis (X positive towards the center of spindle). Perhaps an option that is added to the generic Fanuc Turning post with a default as the regular X direction and option to invert.

You can already invert the X-axis in the turning posts.  They are setup to use the following turret numbers that define the direction of the X-axis.

Turret 0 for Positional Turret (X-)

Turret 101 for QCTP on X- Post

Turret 102 for QCTP on X+ Post

Turret 103 for Gang Tooling on X- Post

Turret 104 for Gang Tooling on X+ Tool Post

So using Turret 103 for all of your tools should create the desired output.  (The QCTP will assume manual tool changes, while Gang Tooling is treated the same as a turret).

That's good to know. So no other changes would need to be made? Just change the turret number for all the tools? That would be easy!

Yes, that is correct, just change the turret numbers for the tools.  You do not need to modify the post processor.

Great. I will still need to modify the post for M41/42 (low and high gear), but that's fairly simple! Cheers!
