Hi,

i'm pretty sure that the 840C doesnt knows commands like SUPA, CYCLE800, MCALL, CYCLE81, ...

Drill cycle in the 840c was named L81 ( G81 ), tapping cycle was L84 ( G84 ) and so on

Modal call end was G80, i believe.

But can be i`m wrong our programming manual is from 08.1996 and the machine is turned on only to roughing.

Hi Kerim,

thanks for your work on this.

its nicely to be seen that autodesk also supports such "old" controls.

@makko74  thank you for your feedback!

This is a two way street.  I wish we could buy one of every machine to dial in posts.  But, that just isn't an option.

Good posts comes from team work between our post writers and the community!

Hi Mario,

the post is already in the post library now.

You can download and test it if you want.

I implemented the old cycles, it calls e.g. G81 which call L81 automatically and so on.

Only the command SUPA I'm not sure if the machine understand that,

but I'm waiting for feedback from customers with this machine, that a trifle to change it.

Thank you again for your feedback!

Hi Kerim,

sorry i cant test your post processor, our machine is with h/v head ( 90° ), we have no parts only for horizontal work direction.

But i've tested SUPA in MDA .. our machine ( 1996 ) dont know this command, we use instead G0 G53 Z400 before tool call or changing the work direction.

CYCLE800 is also unknown ( Error: same Axis programmed twice, i suppose C is meant ), we use for every work direction a seperate work offset.
