PathPilot has an issue with G84 inverting G98 and G99 interpretation. It functions with inverse options from what Tormach has documented due to an error on their part. If your clearance required to avoid a crash is a higher position than the "R" value (which is determined by the starting point of the tap feed) the G98 option should retract to the z position previous to the cycle. However, it will function as G99 and only retract to the "R" position and NOT the position previous to the cycle and causes a crash. This error is in PathPilot and does not show up in the simulator or the tool path preview in Fusion.
Tormach has been informed of this a few days ago. Tormach engineers have replied that this issue should be isolated to the G84 and they have a fix and it will be in the next PathPilot update. They said this has been an error an existing error for quite some time.
I am attaching a PP that has the M8 coolant issue fixed by kduprez (thanks) and the G98 fix that I added to the tapping cycles. BE SURE TO REVERT AFTER THE PATHPILOT UPDATE AFTER V1.9.8
