SETUP SHEETS

How can i make setup sheet to dump out setup image separately.

Inventor 2017 was creating a separate JPG file for the setup stock and tool path but i am not able to do it since i updated to 2018.

Please help

Hello,

 

Thanks for posting! By default, all images have been embedded in the latest setup sheet post processor. If you would like to have externally saved images, change the property 'embed images' from yes to no:

Hi George,

 

I understand that but how come it's not doing same with the setup sheet button right below it, why do we have to go to Post process button because it was working in the previous version of HSM but not anymore in 2018. Setup sheet button in previous version use to create HTML file and image file for part and tools but now all it does is HTML. I understand that same can be done through post process but why take away something that was done with one click.

I have also noticed that Back plot view is also gone from post process editor.

Hello,

 

Thanks for the reply. Once you have made the change and posted once from the post dialog, it should store the default and use this when you click the setup sheet button.

 

Having the images embedded gives just one output, which is preferred by most users.

 

What build of Inventor HSM are you running? I'll check the status on the backplot for you
