Hello, 

I have a Romi C420 with a Seimens controller and the default post for seimens turning outputs code that looks like the code at the bottom of the post. 

The issue we are having is the post outputs a G94 (good!) to put the machine into inches/minute feed, and the feedrate in the moves below is F2.6 which seems fine at face value. 

But when we run the code the machine moves very quickly on Z and plunges the drill into the work (thankfully we were dry running it!) and the controller shows F2.6 in/rev!

I found the source of my issue, and that is using a G97 cancels the SFM spindle speed control and sets motion to in/rev mode. 

A G971 call would also cancel SFM spindle speed control, but set motion to in/min mode. 
I was able to test and prove this today doing manual edits. 
I have not tried using a G972 (it was not in my book, but from a seimens manual I found online) 

G972=

Deactivate constant cutting rate with feedrate type as with G94 or G95.

Would that do what I need?
Should I just modify my post to use G962/G972 instead of G96/97 only?
Any good logic out there on how to address this issue?
