Post-processor output localization strings customization

Hi friends,

Had the question since I started tweeking my posts (Siemens 840d milling mainly, Haas ST-30Y/40L turning a few) but wasn't an issue for me personnaly. Now that I'm considering using setup sheets into production, I need proper localization of post-processor output for my french speaking only workmates.

Of course I could wipe out all those localize() calls and hard code a post for french, but I'd rather do it the elegant way...

I discovered that strings where stored in "...\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<release>\Applications\CAM360\Data\Translations\*.xml" file.

So my question: how to add the missing ones, fix the wrong ones and tweek the remaining so they don't get lost/overwritten with each update ?

Thank you in advance for your help

Hello @silopolis

the folder you have found is irrelevant for the post processors localization.

The post will be looking at either a file called common.de.lang (for german in this example), or another file called nameOfThePostProcessor.langCode.lang

See for reference https://cam.autodesk.com/posts/reference/translation.html

We can't share a tool for extracting the string inside localize.

If you can/want to do it yourself the previous link will give you an example of a lang file layout.

Regards.
