Post Processor for over 200 tools on Hurco problem

Before I start I just want to say that I have already edited my post processor for tools to be up to 1,000.

“if (tool.number > 1000) {
     warning(localize(“Tool number exceeds maximum value.”));”

same thing is done for the length offset, and diameter offset.

Tools 1-200 work fine…but anything past 200–For example I loaded a program for tool 205 to spot drill something…I go to my machine and check errors (for the program) and it says “VALUE EXCEEDS MAXIMUM” and it shows it on the line “G43 Z0.6 H205” I think it’s the H value. When I remove H205 from the code and recheck for errors (on the machine) it shows that there are “NO ERRORS FOUND IN PROGRAM”.

Is this just a Hurco thing with it being unable to want to run when an H value exceeds 200? I want to input as many tools as I can and this is effecting my ability to do that. Is it something within the post processor that can be done differently? Has anyone else ran into this problem for Hurco????

Hi @ken.carpenterAQAD5

it's a Hurco thing.

When you are using G43 H, and G41/42 D.

The offset values are grabbed from an ISO tool offset table, that is limited to 200 items.

When removing the H and D, then it look at the "Conversational" tool offset table that does not have that limitation, or is handled differently.

Regards.
