Our shop just recently acquired an Okuma Genos L3000 lathe with the OSP-300 control. We do not have live tooling on our machine. It is a basic 3 axis lathe. I have been having some issues with the posts.
First being the drilling cycle, it outputs as G183 instead of a G74. I did find an edited basic Okuma Turning processor on the forums here to fix this... however it still uses a R value in the cycle when according to my handbook the G74 cycle on the Okuma does not use an R value.
Secondly, using the basic Okuma Turning post processor... it outputs with % signs at the beginning and end of the program. I know this is very typically used, however my control does not seem to allow those to exist in the program so I need them removed.
Third would be cutter compensation. All of the Post processors output with a G18 code, I am currently trying to figure out if that is a parameter issue on my machine. If it is... or my control does not use G18 (says optional in the book) then I will also need to use something other then a G18 for tool nose radius comp.
I am looking to be able to edit the post processor as best as possible in order to make clean posts consistently without having to hand edit every program.
