Hi @Obadare,

There doesn't appear to be much info about this controller online, do you have any sample NC files you could share?
Also, is this for a 3 axis mill or some other type of machine?

Hi Phil,

All of the Canned cycles are the same as Fanuc/Haas, the differences I have found are

  • Cannot have line numbers
  • Text can’t be in brackets, must be like this. heading for program to show in directory /* TEXT */
  • for other text just /* TEXT
  • Tool change needs to be M6 first then the T#
  • M code for thru coolant is M18 on & M19 off
  • 4th Axis is C

I played around modifying the post processor for Fanuc (no rotary axis) and managed to remove the line numbers and change the coolant M code, for some reason I cannot get my

Visual studio to auto pickup from cam program to post processor.

Hi Evan,

You seem to have made some progress is adapting the Fanuc post.

If I have understood your question correctly, to get output from Fusion 360 to test with the processor you need to download  export cnc file to vs code.cps from the post library.

The output file should then appear as a .cnc file in the Custom folder in VS Code shown below.

Hi Phil,

I think I'm still doing something wrong, I downloaded that file but I don't have a custom section like your screen shot.

I added CNC programs and renamed the download as .cnc

I can open it in Studio but my post processor and cam output are not linked for editing.

I did manage to change everything except the  this text.

Hi Evan,

Before dealing with the Custom folder, there are also some standard .cnc files available.
Are you able to post using the face.cnc file?
