Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share a heavily updated post processor for C.R. Onsrud (FANUC) CNC routers, specifically configured and tested for models with dual-spindle setups (like the 146C24H2). This is my first post I have ever modified, and it is specifically tailored to my CNC machine. The post was modified from the "CR Onsrud 5-axis Router with Fanuc 31i control" Post file provided by the Post Library for Autodesk Fusion. I tested it on my CNC using InventorCAM 2025 and it appears to work well for me.

Key Updates & Features Included:

  • Dual-Spindle Sync Support: Fully supports G360 / G361 synchronization macros with proper integer RPM parsing ([#SP_SPEED])

  • Clean Safe Retracts: Standardized retract blocks to explicitly output G00 G28 G91 Z0. .

  • Post-Cycle Feed Resets: Resets motion mode after G80 canned cycle cancels to ensure full-speed rapid traverse (G00) between hole groups.

  • Vacuum Zone Control: Integrated M131-M134 zone logic. (M130 would turn on all vacuums together)

  • Reorganized UI Properties: Custom main control property group to keep Slave Mode, Vacuum Table, and Hood Control right at the top of the post selection dialog. (Only options I change during post process)

Feel free to test it out if you run a similar Onsrud router setup. Please read the disclaimer below before running code on your machine!

DISCLAIMER & NOTICE OF USE:

The attached post processor is a custom-modified version of a standard Autodesk FANUC post processor, tailored specifically for a C.R. Onsrud 146C24H2 Dual-Spindle Router.

  • Provided "As-Is": This post processor is provided free of charge, "as-is," and without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to performance, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.

  • User Verification Required: Machine configurations, controller options, macro variables, and safe tool-change heights vary significantly across different machine builds. You are solely responsible for testing and validating the output G-code.

  • Safety Protocol: Always thoroughly review all generated code, run full CAM simulations, perform air cuts / dry runs, and keep your hand near the E-stop when testing this post processor on your machine for the first time.

By downloading and using this file, you accept full responsibility for any machine damage, material loss, personal injury, or downtime that may occur.
