Looking to see if someone can provide some assistance in modifying the current NGC post -- or providing this as input for the next release of the post.
When using the current release configured for a UMC, force home position during index is always selected. I have defined the home position I would like to use to ensure no collisions will occur; however, during the following instance it DOES not force home position and may cause a crash:
>Taking cut at some index position (lets say B90. C0.)
>Finish cut
>Tool moves to index position
>Machine indexes to B0. C0. in preparation of tool break detection
>Tool break detection occurs
>Tool changes to next tool in program
>NOW, if the index position of the next cut matches the position of the last cut (B90. C0. again) the tool WILL NOT move to the safe index position prior to movement. With my current fixture this will cause a crash.
