Shaft + Holder detection on upcomming rest material

During roughing (3D Pocket / 3D Adaptive) it would be nice to detect rest material from his own operation.

Last week I hat this situation for a product that I programmed for a customer so thats why I published it.

My point was more that for me it's not an Idea, but should be treated as a bug report.

Hi Marco,

thank you for your idea. The shaft/holder-clearance is always calculated from the model and this is a new feature.

Not to be rude but that means the Shaft & Holder Clearance works in certain cases and others it's totally untrustworthy.

How should users know when what case they are looking at?

I ran into this again today.

It's not clear that this only works on the model. Nor that the stock you leave can be very dangerous to this operation as well.

I really would like to stress that what is being asked here is how you presented shaft&holder to the users. So not really a new feature but a fix to get the software on the same level as the promise.
