I am starting to make extensive use of HSM's pattern features. I am using HSMWorks to program for a laser cutting machine. So I am patterning whole parts, generally as a grid on a sheet.
It would be helpful to be able to make a pattern of a pattern. Much like how Solidworks can include an existing pattern inside a larger pattern.
An example where I would use this is: I have a part, which includes features that are best handled as a pattern (such as perforation pattern), and I then want to pattern the entire part. This would be a pattern that includes a pattern inside of it.
