Helical drilling cycle

it would be useful if there was a drill cycle for helical drilling. i know there are ways to make it do one but it would be nice if there was a simple cylcle in the drilling drop down that was for Helical Drilling, and it helical milled any hole you have selected at a user defined helix angle.

Isn't bore milling what you are looking for? In the drill?

Only thing is that it asks for the pitch and not the angle.

Yes that works great. I was trying the bore drilling and that does not let you use a endmill.

I confirmed this is working with an Endmill.

On the Passes tab of the drilling operation select "bore milling" as the cycle type. 

Please let me know if this is what you need?  Or, do you need this updated to allow you to enter a helix & maximum pitch similar to an entry helix?

A helix angle there next to the maximum pitch. One driving the other or limiting the other like in the entry helix would be awesome.

I see myself calculation this too often.

Frankly I want ramp angles for all ramps everywhere. Pitch is only important to me (in my situation) if I'm threadmilling, otherwise clearance angle of the end mill can be crucial and I have to go into other software to determine a 3° ramp angle on a Bore operation. Since the pitch changes for a set angle depending on diameter, this is never consistent and I'd rather have an angle to enter instead of using an expression.

I can submit a separate idea though if it would be useful.
