Yes! Currently about to get a part for which this exact sort of boundary setting would be very useful.

Not sure on how to do this UI wise. But would be very neat for the user.

@Anonymous, just a thought here, but maybe they could create "boundary Groups" that we could set differing bounday conditions.

This is an excellent idea. Hope this get's the go ahead from the higher ups. The boundary group is another good idea. Thumbs up!

I appreciate this idea and we will certainly consider it.

 

However, I do want to make sure you are aware of the "Contact point boundary" option, which I believe will give you the result you are looking for in this particular example when combined with "Tool Center on Boundary".

 

Everyone: It would be good to see more examples of cases where "boundary groups" would be useful.

Agreed, in this case it would help, but having the ability to control multiple boundaries would prove to be very beneficial especially for mold machining

There is not a near-term plan to implement this feature, but there is interest in creating more general geometry-group entities that can be accessed my multiple operations. This idea would likely be part of that feature.
