Eliminate restrictions due to tool descriptions.

Eliminate restrictions due to tool descriptions.

Dear Inventor CAM developers,... In many occasions, my job requires me to use a tool, that is not intended for what I am doing.. I am just suggesting to eliminate restrictions on toolpaths, due to a tool description. I use wrap toolpath a lot when I run into this, so I am also limited as to what toolpaths I can use with wrap toolpath. I understand it is a good feature to "idiot proof" the software, but this feature belongs on a hobbyist, or beginners platform, NOT Inventor CAM, or any other professional platforms. Thanks for anything that can be done here. Please do not send me a work around.... I've used them all, and they all stink.

How is this suggestion not getting more votes??? This is a huge hinderance. Have they given up completely on Inventor??

The last accepted Inventor CAM idea was in 2017. So yes, they have gave up. This topic of tool restrictions has also been discussed before and many times.

Autodesk still accepts Inventor Ideas (last month being the latest), but not the CAM addon. Fusion 360, Autodesk's golden child, has more features than Inventor CAM, and Inventor CAM is more expensive to use.
