Face Mill Cycle - Lead In / Out distance

Hello,

I'm completely new to HSMWorks / Inventor HSM Express,

Please let me know if I am posting this in the correct area,
or is there another place for enhancement requests

Face Mill Cycle
Vertical lead-in radius = 0
checkbox - Lead Out = Same as Lead In
A Linear (Horizontal) lead-in distance is automatically applied
equal to Tool Dia + some small amount,  No Lead Out is applied

When the box is checked for Lead Out = Same as Lead In,
the same distance should be applied to the lead-out.

There should be field to specify / extend the Lead in/out distance beyond the tool dia, as it is today the tool retracts while still on the material and will leave a witness mark.

Also, the ability to select a vertical or horizontal radius lead in/out.
These should be standard for all cycles in the "Leads & Transitions" dialog area.

Thank You,
Jim Treanor

Hi Jim,

We do have an "Extend before retract" feature but I can't check if have already brought this into Inventor HSM Express. If it is there it will be listed on the linking tab. If not will add it in the next release.

I verified in Inventor HSM Express and indeed the Face operation has an "Extend before retract option" on the Linking tab as Rene mentioned.
However turning the check box on does not do anything for me or am I missing the point?
