Basic license - how do i delete a Fusion Team ?

I was poking around and created a Fusion Team called  "Test Team" with my basic / non commercial use copy of Fusion 360.  There is nothing in it and none was invited to it and I'm the administrator.  How do I delete this team so it's not showing in my team listing ?  I've spent the last hour poking around and I'm thinking I'll have to look at this damned entry now forever.  Help !

Thanks for posting your query in Autodesk Community!

In your case there is no direct option to delete the Fusion team but, in this case, you can rename Fusion team as per requirement please refer the attachment snapshot image for reference and follow the below steps to rename the Fusion Team.

  1. Have the Team Hub Administrator login to the Hub it in the web browser.
  2. Click the "Profile button" in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Admin".
  4. Select "Projects name".
  5. Select “edit option to rename the Team name as shown in the image”

If my post answers your query, please click on 'Accept as Solution' button.

HI - Thanks for the input.

I will rename it, but it seems very odd that its possible to have people
litter their menus with zombie teams that cannot be removed.  I realise
that I am a low level basic user / hobbiest, but it does seem like a
glaring deficiency to me.  Thanks for your input !

Could you please elaborate on why you wanted to delete the team. You anyways have the option to archive and delete the unwanted projects from your Team. (hoping your entitlement is not expired).

I would also like to delete a team.  This is why:

I am a HS teacher and having multiple teams is simply confusing my students.  They join the wrong team, create their own teams (without knowing why), don't know how to switch teams, etc.  Basically it would avoid a lot of unnecessary work to delete everything except their single-user storage and simply create different shared projects for each of my classes.

Hi @pbalthazor,

If you like to delete yourself from a Team Hub you can go to the Team Website and within the settings, you can Leave a Team.

I'd rather delete the team vs having to repeatedly teach high school students how to leave a team.  I'd rather eliminate the potential for error instead of repeatedly fixing the errors.  Is it possible to simply delete a team?

hi @pbalthazor ,

As per the guidelines of FT, Team hub is tied closely to email account. Which means one person can have only one Personal hub and One team hub only. Here i didnt understand that how students are trying to join to your hubs.

However, you can restrict that by changing the setting to "Admin Approval required" for them to join which is available in Profile>Settings.

All I am saying this is because we do not want the user to delete their team by themselves because there are many other things that are tied up to email id you used to create the team.

Why don't you force them to Leave the wrong team (one time job) and then keep this setting. Or you always have option to set the student user email "Deactivate" which is also available in Profile>Settings> "Members and Roles".

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Sasi

I would appreciate all the info but I would really like a simple "yes" or "no" answers to my question.

Are you saying that although I created the team DT is AWESOME there is no way for me, as the administrator, to delete it?

Likewise, my student who created the team Seojin, can not delete it.

I simply want my students to only have the option of using the Single-User Storage.

Is it possible for me, as the person who created the team DT is AWESOME, to delete it?

Why has this not been properly addressed?
Especially since we are now compulsed into moving everything to a team, even as single users!

https://www.autodesk.com/de/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/DEU/How-to-dele...
This support site tells me to contact support.

Support says "no agent available" and no other option for my lowly education license.

So, I have to move all my stuff to a Team but:
1. Can't just delete the Team
2. Can't remove people from my old team (used for another project at Uni)
3. Can't just make a new team

I am completely locked in and you guys ask why we would even want it any different?
