Working with & editing 3D scans

hi all. I have a project that I'm working on that has a 3D scanned object that I'd like to be able to clean up, edit and add to and then 3D print it.  I'm new to the field so I'm not sure if I'm using the right tool.  Is there a way to import a 3D scan into Fusion 360, Inventor or MeshMixer and then be able to add to the object via a clone tool?  Or is it possible to convert the scan to a sketch and then draw it out using measurements while using the 3D scan as a template?  I need to be able to copy the left side and invert it and then somehow "stitch" it to the part that's broken on the scan. ** see attached screenshot of the piece.

Hi @pltwball,

You can import .stl and .obj files into Fusion 360 by Using 'Insert Mesh' from Insert dropdown.
Fusion doesn't yet have extensive tools for editing scanned mesh data but you can apply basic operations by using mesh work space.

Hope this helped you.
