working codes behind generative design and FEA

Dear Lads and Gents

I will start a master thesis in the field of implant simulations and will use the generative design tool and the integrated FEA. Is there any way to get further information about the codes behind generative design and FEA? I am used to work with other software where such literature exists.

Maybe someone knows a contact, website or book?

I would appreciate a short feedback.

Thank you all very much indeed.

Best wishes,

Janick

Can you provide some additional details on the information you are looking for?

Autodesk has some great self-paced learning videos, e.g. the difference between topology optimization and generative design, but since I am writing a master thesis it is not enough to know that material is being formed where it is needed. There are well-known books in the field of topology optimization and FEA explaining the basic principles behind, like the different optimization codes that one can use to calculate the min or max in topology optimization or the division into elements and their different forms and interpolation methods in FEA.
I am looking for a book (or any kind of literature) explaining the concepts and codes in generative design (especially the one used from Autodesk in their generative design tool) as detailed as possible. I want to be able to explain someone how this tool works. Maybe you could suggest someone from the programming team? It could also be a ‘private’ contact (email address) in case there are sensitive information. I would appreciate any kind of help and – of course – I would also mention your participation and help in my master thesis and possible subsequent PhD. I believe it is a great tool that could help us further in our research. There are even interests from the school to include your application in teaching.
