Why is every model a wireframe now ?

So today with the new update applied, every solid is now a wireframe,
even if I'M NOT IN WIREFRAME MODE ?
(Sorry for the bold text but i'm sure the first reply would have been "you're in wireframe mode dude!")

Tried reverting back to old UI, same thing.

Windows 7 x64, nvidia 1050 TI.

OK sorry missed the bold text. What about opacity? Or material setting.

Oh gawwddd ! 😓😂😅

Opacity changes the opcaity of those wireframe lines only, while CTRL-4-5-6-7-8-9 also doesn't change much, just CTRL-9 gives me some kind of solid face but it's white and doesn't look anything like the view i had just yesterday before closing Fusion.ctrl6.JPGctrl9.JPG

I guess the first thing support is going to suggest is updating your graphics drivers. Have you tried changing your graphics driver in preferences to Directx 9?

It was on auto-select, i tried both DX9 and DX11, no change.
Have now updated my display driver to latest version, rebooting my computer to check !

Ok i have rebooted with new latest display drivers from nvidia, no changes.

Although since my reboot i now get this when starting Fusion :
I click ok and it goes on as normal but i still have that wireframe view.

For the error, do you have a custom add-in on your sketch menu? You will need to update the add-in for the new UI.  @Phil.E  Can you help with the visibility problem?

Thanks Mark

@HughesTooling  Thanks for the heads up.

@daver18qc  Have you tried setting different physical material? That looks like you are using Air.

Ok the startup error was an add-in that i disabled, all good.

I have something new !

If i open a cloud saved project, the view is fine ! I can work on the file just fine.
The wireframe view seems to be stuck on only for NEW projects !
If i save this NEW project, and reload it after, i still get the wireframe view !

So any projects saved before the update is fine, projects started and/or saved after the update are wireframe.

Hey you're onto something there !
I opened the physical material panel, dragged a aluminium material to the shape and now i can see it !
Could it be that the new "default" material for new documents is now "air" as you say ?

(at least now i can use this workaroung to work on my file, thanks !)

Hey, looks like my default material is PET plastic, which appears transparent !
I must have set that as default by mistake somewhere, i'll change it back to steel or whatever i can actually see 😅

@daver18qc  Thanks for checking.

I'm going to post this picture anyway, just in case someone else winds up on this thread looking for answers. Here is the location of the preferences dialog/default material selection. (of course you already found this)

Thanks!

To be fair, when you suggested that, i did in fact try it, but my idea was "oh maybe now there is no material applied and i just need to re-apply it" so i tried to just apply back that "PET Plastic" material again, which didn't change a thing so i discarded this as a non-working solution.

Only when i was suggested again i tried applying a different material (aluminum) and then it worked. That transparent PET material got me good 😂

Can any of you reproduce this if you apply the PET Plastic material to your design !?

With hindsight I wish I'd asked you to press Shift N to enable colour cycling.

And this is what I see with PET.
