Steps to reproduce
When I upload a .x_t file, I can't edit it in Fusion. It opens in the browser and if I try to open from the browser with the desktop connector, it directs to an empty fusion file. The same is not true of iges files, for example.

Expected results
I expected to upload the file so I could edit it. But the box with editing or preview does not appear.

Actual results
It only opens in the browser .

what kind of license do you have?  I believe that parasolid translation is not supported with a Personal license.  Untranslated files will behave as you describe.

Yes, i have a Personal license. I haven't found anything about this personal license restriction. 😐
Why does the educational license allow this type of file?

Gives the kids a chance to learn with full functional software so that they know what to specify when finished with schooling.

May I ask whether anyone has found a good workaround for getting some x_t files into an acceptable format for work with it in Fusion while using the personal license?

@daniep790

Are you specifically asking Autodesk how to circumvent the Software License for personal use that you agreed to?

No, as you state, that is the license that we agree to, and though such shortcomings are sometimes a bit annoying, I do appreciate the opportunity to play with it free of charge for my personal use.  As such I can also not complain about what I do not pay for.  Still I am hoping that someone at least found a way to work with these Parasolid files.  Something like a dependable way to convert them to a format which would be accepted by our personal license Fusion360 SW.  I have tried a few free conversion tools, but they all failed right away with a simple sample file, so it doesn't seem very promising to find a simple way to get them  editable.
