Hi. I am whole new to this game. I am trying to sketch a Toyota logo, which is made out of intersecting ellipses. With a lot of trial and error I was able to trim the extra lines from the ellipses which had the same origin. But I don't for the life of me figure out how to do that when the origin is in the different point.

Your geometry is on different sketches.
If you want to use geometry from a previous sketch to trim geometry on a later sketch, then you must Project the geometry from earlier sketch into later sketch.
Examine the Attached file.

Hi,
only elements that are located in the same sketch can be trimmed.
This can be achieved by projecting all entities into a sketch and disabling linking.
This way you can do the trimming in the active sketch.
