Unable to extrude face from body aligned to plane at angle

Hello Autodesk Community!

I'm having difficulty extruding from a face, on a body which is aligned to a plane at an angle.

I'm working through some laser cutter modelling tutorials, and I'm a bit clueless about what I'm doing wrong.

I can't select the faces of the highlighted shape as a profile for the extrude; once extrude is open I can select the faces of the body as objects for the extrusion; but not as the profile for the extrusion itself.

I've uploaded a brief video, as well as the .f3d file and a screenshot; I hope that my problem makes sense!

Any help would be appreciated! Help me Autodesk Community, you're my only hope!

Thanks!

@Cat_Peach

Are all of your sketches fully defined?

Are there any unresolved issues highlighted in your Timeline?

Does CTRL b (CMD b on Mac) return any errors?

What happens if you Edit Feature on Fillet1?

This face is not planar.  (You can test by attempting to start a New Sketch on the face.

The face is actually a conic.

 Can’t thank you enough!

Solved: The body wasn't parallel with the plane, and had been rotated into a conical surface. Many thanks!
