Toolbar and timeline UI missing - Mac OS

Hi,

The toolbar icons and the timeline icons are completely gone from Fusion.

I have tried the following:

- Restart Fusion (multiple times)

- Sign out and in again

- Clear Cache

- Alt-Command-R to restore default layout

- Uninstall Fusion 360 -> Reinstall

- edit the NGlobalOptions file according to this: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/toolbar-missing/td-p/7432800?us_oa=forums-us&us_si...

All to say, nothing works.

Any ideas???

Hello @johannesJGAKQ ,

Can you please try the clean uninstall and see if it works.

Let me know if this helps, Thanks!

If this does not fix, can you please send me the diagnostic log files?

Hi,

Yes, I tried the clean uninstall as well, but no difference. I can see the tooltips when I hover over where I THINK the icons should be, but the Icons themselves are not visible.

Attached is the diagnostics log.

Wasn't able to embed the Screencast recording directly in the post, but the link is here:

Hello @johannesJGAKQ ,

This seems to a isolated issue with your machine, I checked with the team and the team have one suggestion which you can try :

You can try to switch Qt Quick to software mode. In Terminal,
launchctl setenv QT_QUICK_BACKEND "software"
and re-launch Fusion. See if this is working fine for you

If not you can undo the above changes by following below,

Undo the above:
launchctl unsetenv QT_QUICK_BACKEND

Let me know if this helps, Thanks!!

Hi @mohammed.aliTDPXK ,

Yes, that certainly fixed it on my machine. Really appreciate you going above and beyond on this.

Kind regards

Johannes
