I would like to share an experience I had with the Texture map display mode. When I changed the mode to UV diagnostic my screen went crazy - flickering widely in black and white stripes of all sorts with no access to any mouse function, no way to escape it so I had to restart the computer and I have not tried it since - and don't plan to! I just thought I would mention it - it could be related to my graphics card or something internal but I have never experienced anything like it. Since restarting everything is back to normal...My OS is Sierra 10.12.1
Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for posting! I do not believe I've experienced the behavior you described when using the UV diagnostic tool - I'm glad to hear everything appears to be working normally after a restart! I'd be happy to have a look at the file that you were working in when this happened - it definitely could be related to your graphics/individual system, but it could also be specific to that dataset. Feel free to send over the design if you'd like - it looks like you are changing to UV diagnostic for body1 in the Rendering workspace.
Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for the response! I'll keep an eye out for this behavior - I still have not seen it on my end. I'm on Mac OSX 10.11.6.
I would usually recommend updating graphics drivers in this situation, but you are likely using the integrated Mac drivers that would require an OS update. I also wonder if any drivers for display or screen logging softwares may be present on your system, as well as the resolution of your monitor. Let me know if you see this behavior occur again and I will keep an eye out for similar reports - we appreciate you bringing this to our attention!
Also, if you don't mind recreating, does the same behavior occur if you switch Fusion to limit effects for performance? How about if you open in low resolution?
