Text extrude issues

As I remember in old version (before last updates) there were no any issues with text shape after extrude in  Fusion 360.
But now when we extrude text it makes object (text after extrude) angular. So, because of it, we meet 2 problems:

1) You can't make chain selection during fillet, you need to select edges one by one.

2) Text after extrude becomes angular as I mentioned above.

It looks awfully.

See attached images.

Can you Attach any example *.f3d file of this older version text geometry?

What font did you use back then for the geometry?

I don't have.
Any font gives the same result.

Hi,

1. please share a file with text

2. try: select text > rightclick > Explode > extrude > fillet

there have been no change in this area for years.  The result will vary according to font and size.  Tangent continuous selection in Fillet requires tangent continuous edges, and many fonts are not precise enough to meet tangency requirements.

I tried to do that. But :
1) I can't select text
2) I can't even change text words

Can you please send me screen how do that?

I checked with many fonts. All gives the same result.
Can you please write me a font name I can get good result?
And other thing. If I push "Finish scetch" button and after it want to go back and make changes with text, for example change text words or size etc, I can't do that because don't see any opportunities on the screen for that.
And can you explain me please how can I explode text?

like this?  If you are doing something else, please a) send a design that shows the problem, and b) record a screencast or video showing what you are trying to do:

Thank you.
But unfortunately I can't do the same things.
Neither LMB nor RMB, they don't give me anything

check your selection filter.  Does it look like this?

if not, click on "Select All" to turn all filters on

Thank you! This solved my issue!

Yes, you need to explode Text before extruding it in order to keep tangent curves, but this is not the behavior we had sometimes ago.

This bug was identified earlier this year and was corrected
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/curve-continuity-issue-when-exploding-text...

And it was working even without exploding text, so you can keep editable text (even parametrically)... so if you engrave a part with some text you can keep rounded edges or chanfer without issues.

Hi Jeff,

I don't agree, I'm almost sure that something has changed since the february/march update. When I've asked to review how fonts were handled by Fusion when used as sketched to generate geometry.
Here is our feed:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/curve-continuity-issue-when-exploding-text...

When this fixed was applied to Fusion, you could use your "text" as faces to extrude and keep edges tangent without exploding it. Am I wrong?

On the other hand, when exploding fonts we get only "conic" curves and not the real bezier curve of the font.
I create some custom fonts in Adobe Illustrator and I'm sure how the glyphs are drawn but exploded in Fusion I get something else, quite close and still tangent but not the actual curve.
Is it by design? could we get a better font interpreter as we may have in other softwares? AliasSurface, for example, handle Fonts correctly.
Many Thanks
