I recently started using fusion 360 and have noticed some persistent issues with using my SpaceMouse Pro Wireless in fusion 360. The receiver is less than 4 inches away from the mouse and the battery is fully charged, but sometimes the mouse only zooms in and out and other times it doesn't work at all. When I restart the program, it works fine but after a minute or so it stops working. I have already tried this on other computers with the same results and have reinstalled the latest driver multiple times on windows 10. Is anyone else having these issues? Is there a workaround?

There's an XML file mentioned in this thread over here.
Some users have reported that it resolves similar sounding issues. I also understand that clicking on the workspace switcher, the top node (root component) in the browser, or clicking in the workspace has the ability to return focus to Fusion 360 enabling the space mouse to work. I know our development team has been working hand in hand with 3Dconnexion to improve the behavior in Fusion 360.
I hope this suggestions helps. If you have any quesitons, please let me know.
Thanks,

Nathan, thanks for the reply. Clicking on the root component as well as the other menu items does return the focus to fusion 360, however, once I click on a line or face or anything else within the drawing space, the space mouse is once again disabled. This causes me to constantly (hundreds of times per hour) keep clicking the menu items just to rotate the view. The XML file looks interesting, but we use inventor as well and require full functionality in both products. While these suggestions are helpful, I am looking for a real solution to this issue.
I discovered something new though. When I go into the settings of the SpaceMouse and keep it open while I click on different areas in Fusion 360, I notice that the active application listed in the settings window changes when I click on the drawing area and model as opposed to clicking on the menu and tree items. When I click on the model or drawing area, the 3D mouse switches to "Inventor - Home" or "AcCoreConsole" and the 3d mouse is disabled. When I click on the menu or tree items, it switches back to "Autodesk Fusion 360". What's even more interesting is that on the computer I ran this test on, I have never at any time installed Autodesk Inventor. It's almost like clicking in the drawing/ model area is telling the 3D mouse to use the wrong settings. This seems like something that should be relatively easy to fix. Please see the attached photos for more details.

This is a known behavior and we are working on improving this ( See @Phil.E 's reply in the below forum.). We've been coordinating efforts with 3Dconnexion to address this, so it does complicate how quickly a solution be reached. I apologize for any inconvenience.
The best thing to do is keep the drivers updated for the spacemouse and also Fusion 360 (which automatically will update). With a driver and Fusion 360 update at a future date, the issue will be resolved. I don't have any visibility into when precisely; however, development team is aware of the issue and working towards a resolution. For now, the work-around is the only solution I'm aware of outside of the previously mentioned XML file.
I hope this is encouraging. If you have any quesitons, please let me know. I am happy to help.

Thanks,
I set up my new Spacemouse Wireless today and had the same issues (glitchy, slow, nonresponsive) - I was able to fix it by moving the transmitter from the back of my desktop tower to a front usb as it was near the rear ports where the usb wifi dongle and a Logitec mouse transmitter were located. It seems as if the Logitec interference was the problem as the spacemouse would cut out when moving the mouse.
