sketch spline line missing handles and points to grab

Going along fine with a sketch and suddenly my spline line does not display the control points (and the "display points" checkbox checked) and the point handles display as aqua "lines" insted of spline controls.  I cannot control the lines.

Edit the Sketch =

Select the point on the spline to show the handle.

Select handle end point, to proceed.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

This appeared to be atemporary "bug".  But it happens more oftern than I like and I'm not sure if it is a computer memory issue or a graphics card or something else.  Totally inconsistent.
