Simple stuff that doesn't work... Horizonal pattern

Hello,

I'm trying to do something simple, and for this example, I will make it even more simple.

   Create a sketch.

Create a 20mm circle.  (Diameter will be called CoinSize)

Create Text that has a bounding box for the text that anchors to the circle

Set the Attributes of the text to center both directions.

Type the letter 'A', mirror it so the A is backwards (although, you won't be able to see a difference for A.

Select both the Text and the circle.

Create a horizonal pattern of 14x2.   Realize that it only has one thing selected, so huh, weird, reselect the text.. Hmm, won't select, try 20 more times to get BOTH of them selected, so you can create 28 coins with the letter A in the center...

Throw in towel, and post it here...

Actually, what I actually ended up with was replicate the circles... then copy/page the text over and over and over and over...  27 times... each time, hand aligning it in the circles...

Then change the CircleSize and find out that everything came up looking like crap because nothing was quite locked down exactly like I wanted it to be..

And the circles overlapped, so I had to edit the parameters for that sketch (I figured out that I can find the operation in sketch parameters - as there was no other way to edit it that I could find (no timeline like you get with the outside of sketch mode - why not?)   And I was able to get it changed finally...

Never was able to get the pattern to duplicate it correctly.  (Eventually, I want to A to be set to B, C... Z... in order to have coins with each of the letters... BUT I never got that far... I really want to be able to duplicate each one while creating a different letter in each one...  No clue how to do that!

Perhaps, it would be best to do this using the Scad scripting language that my brother uses instead of using Fusion 360?

Well, I found that it is faster to select both the circle and the text and copy/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste/paste...

Than it was to do this using the pattern...

No clue why it would un-select the text, I mean, is text not an object?
