It seems like shift is not working correctly in Fusion.

My shift key does work in other programs and even in Fusion if im Naming something, but as soon as i try to use a shortcut with shift nothing happens and i also cant orbit freely if i press shift and the middle mouse key. I am using a mac with a windows keyboard but i dont think it is its fault because it worked a few months ago without any problem.

Hi @soeren33333,

Thank you for your Post in the Forum.

Could you may check in the Preferences which "Pan, Zoom and Orbit Shortcuts" you have selected?

Please, watch the video in our learning content and let me know what has been the default setting for you.

Could you tell me which Shortcut you would like to use, please see the reference here

I hop this information helps.

Please, keep me updated.

Thanks,

If been using default settings so the "Pan, Zoom, Orbit shortcuts" are set to Fusion. And as far as I remember if never changed my settings. The Pan does work as usual just the orbit doesn't work.

And correct me if i am wrong but if i want to select more than one object i have to press shift and click one the object/ surface that i also want to select, because that also doesn't work.

Thank you for your time

Hi @soeren33333,

Thank you for the update.

The Shift+Middle Mouse button should work when you try to orbit.

Could you please create a Screencast for us that we do better understand what´s happening on your OS?

The selection should work with CTRL. Could you check if your OS language is set to the same language as your Keyboard?

Please, keep me updated.

Thanks,

Hi @soeren33333,

Thank you for sharing the Screencast with us.

I could see that you have pushed the Shift button couple times.

Could you please answer these questions that we can determine what´s causing this issue:

  1. Do you have a German keyboard?
  2. Are you running Windows 10 with English as Region language?
  3. Would you like to select a component, face or body?

Please, let me know if you would like to communicate in German 😉

I would be happy to talk to you.

Thanks,

Hi @soeren33333,

Thank you for sharing all this.

To share this information with the users.

The issue is due to a Keyboard which is incompatible with the Computer/ Laptop OS.

A generic keyboard driver has been working prior to an OS update.

The solution is to use compatible Hardware and the designated driver.

I hope this will help other users too.

Thank you,
